Electric furnace manufacturer introduces knowledge about heat treatment for you

1. Normalizing: Heat the steel or steel parts to the critical point AC3 or ACM above the appropriate temperature for a certain time and then cool in the air to get the heat treatment process of pearlite tissue.

2. Annealing annealing: hypoeutectoid steel workpiece heated to above AC3 20 to 40 degrees, heat preservation after a period of time, with the slow cooling furnace (or buried in the sand or lime cooling) to 500 degrees Celsius in air cooling heat treatment process.

3. Solid solution heat treatment: heat the alloy to a high temperature and maintain a constant temperature in the single-phase zone, so that the excess phase fully dissolved into the solid solution, and then quickly cooled to get the supersaturated solid solution heat treatment process.

4. Aging: The phenomenon that the properties of alloys change with time when they are kept at or slightly above room temperature after solid solution heat treatment or cold plastic deformation.

5. Solid solution treatment: fully dissolve all kinds of phases in the alloy, strengthen the solid solution and improve the toughness and corrosion resistance, eliminate stress and soften, so as to continue processing and forming.

6. Aging treatment: heating and holding the temperature at which the strengthened phase precipitates out, making the strengthened phase precipitate out, hardening and increasing the strength.

7. Quenching: A heat treatment process in which the austenitized steel is cooled at an appropriate cooling rate so that the workpiece is transformed into martensite and other unstable structures within the cross-section or within a certain range. 8. Tempering: A heat treatment process in which the quenched workpiece is heated to an appropriate temperature below the critical point AC1 for a certain period of time and then cooled by a suitable method to obtain the required structure and properties.

9. Carbonitriding of steel: Carbonitriding is the process of both carbon and nitrogen seeping into the surface of steel. Traditionally, carbonitriding is also called cyanidation. At present, it is widely used in medium temperature gas carbonitriding and low temperature gas carbonitriding (i.e. gas soft nitriding). The main purpose of medium temperature gas carbonitriding is to improve the hardness, wear resistance and fatigue strength of steel. The main purpose of low temperature gas carbonitriding is to improve the wear resistance and bite resistance of steel.

10. Quenching and tempering: Heat treatment which is quenching and tempering at high temperature is generally considered as quenching and tempering. The quenching and tempering process is widely used for all kinds of important structural parts, especially for connecting rods, bolts, gears and shafts which work under alternating loads. After tempering, the tempered soxhlet is better than the normal soxhlet with the same hardness. Its hardness depends on the high tempering temperature and is related to the steel tempering stability and workpiece section size, generally between HB200 and 350.

11. Brazing: Heat treatment process in which two workpieces are bonded together using a filler metal.
